Swear to stay near

Contributed by Damien on Sunday, 19th January 2003 @ 09:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I've forgotten how long I've waited for you,
but thats all right cause now you are here,
I know this is too much to ask of you,
but could you swear to always stay near.
There were days when I would look into the mirror,
and wonder how long it would take for things to clear,
The you came like a sun to a night,
filling my life with your bright light.
When I saw you standing in that aisle,
feasting my eyes with that sweet sweet smile,
I could'nt stop my heart from skipping a beat,
and that my dear lady is no mean feat.
