Mistake

Topic: goodbyepoetry

Distant faces tack me back to a time
Voices whisper seperation was a crime
Haunting memories occupy my dreams
Could we? Should we? that's always what it seems

A Wiseman told me "we fall in love may times"
Yet you took my heart, a love that's so sublime
We go on faking with the ones were with
Free me, tell me, is it over? let me live

I tried to ignore the fact you ever knew me
I erased everything we knew
But it seems that you’re always in the darkness
Reminding me that I'm the only one for you

People tell me that I should forget your name
But I know what they don't
Those things are just not the same
We play love; we portray it like some big charade
Yet I still wonder, is this a mistake we have made

Life to me, hell it's like a play
No dress rehearsal just one shot
Will we shine or fade away?
Our names will one day
Just fade into the past
Yet this love transcends death
I know in heaven it can last

People tell me that I should forget your name
But I know what they don't
Those things are just not the same
We play love; we portray it like some big charade
Yet I still wonder, is this a mistake we have made
