The Story of Lover and I

Contributed by eleventoedsloth on Wednesday, 12th October 2005 @ 01:28:22 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

So, this boy
the one I never loved
(I swear)
Yeah, that's the one.
This boy and I were walking,
holding hands and we were humming
There's a good chance were were smiling, too
So I trip; I stumble and I fall
this boy, he picked me up so high.
Yeah, so we're walking;
(no, I'm pretty sure we were flying)
So, this boy and I were flying,
and we were happy. We danced as we flew,
making sure to do all the things that lovers tend to do.
So, we lose track of things, and start to skip some.
We're skipping our steps, my lover and I.
(the lover I swear I never really loved)
I turn back to see my boy.
I do it, so I can glace into lover's eyes
(because that's what lovers are for, right?
What's a lover, if you cant look into his eyes?)
So, I turn, and lover isnt flying.
He's falling.
And, I feel him dragging me with him.
And I'm alling.
We're falling.
I look down at him, so below me,
and lover's smiling.
and he's crying.
but I'm so confused!
I reach out him,
and "lover!" I cry
but he dodges my plea, see?
This boy,
he dodged me.
So, we hit the ground hard.
and the earth quaked
(or something quaked)
I stop, to brush off my wounds,
then look in lover's direction
So, you see, with one last heal glance;
lover's gone.
He has flead me.
and now I'm here,
we're here.
You and I, and it's us.
Don't drop me, but if you drop me,
and we fall, like I've fallen before
Don't hit the ground running.

I thought this was exceptionally good, sounded more like lyrics to a song! Well done.
