You left me more then a year ago
Or maybe I left you
Either way we're not together
It was hard to move on from that
Knowing you had someone else
It took me a while to get over it
I thought I never would at first
It hurt just to think about you
Everytime I did I couldn't breath
I felt like that feeling would never go away
I just wanted to die
Just give up on everything
I still think about you a lot
But not as much as I used to
Everything has gotten easier
I no longer feel like I can't breath when I think about
The memory of you doesn't bring pain
I've moved on
You're just a distant memory
Something that used to be
I'm over you now
I will always have feelings for you of course
But now I'm okay with not being with you
Now you're gone
And I'm fine with it

This poem reminds me of a song;
"It used to be ever time
I'd hear a sad song I would die
It'd remind me of when
you and i were so much in love
I couldn't eat
I couldn't sleep

i can relate to some of it, like i'm sure a lot
of people can..
it's definitely hard to get over
someone special...and this poem showed that
