“for Love is God of All”

Contributed by Om_Ro on Wednesday, 24th July 2002 @ 08:41:14 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

To the melancholy trapped in the abyss
For weeks I’ve carried the thrust of your departure
And through the empty space you once occupied
A flow of void and loneliness now shadows the cold
A river of blood washes and rinses the prints I’ve longed for for so long, and that I’ve dreamed in my dreams
And the water bottoms down below my feet
My deepest desires only request your grace
-I can’t stand still-
But still the hours count by, and the tides shift in the melody of a lullaby
The string accompaniment plays the harmony of my nights
And shift in resonance with the footsteps of my life
I stand in disappointment across the view of liberty
As I lay lovesick of my own mortality, my lost senses, and the emptiness that I carry at the weight of the past
the lambs still rest easy in their sleep
protected by their Sheppard, their conscious are light and full of peace
The night creeps, and dawn shines their back
Just like this cradle which still rocks with questions
The doors have shut and lock in this box of desires I keep at heart
And a note written on its top
Shielded with a rose of pedals and thorns, and words of faith which strongly read
“for Love is God of All”
