I Know How It Feels

Contributed by JenJen on Monday, 10th October 2005 @ 03:50:51 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I know how it feels
Not to be wanted
Not to be loved
By the ones you love

I know how it feels
To want to run away
From the hurt and confusion
Bought to you by friends

I know how it feels
Not to understand
To want and sit and cry
If only someone would be there
Offering you a should

I know what you think
The no-one knows what this feels like
Think again my friend
Cause I’m going through the same

I know how it feels
To want to break down
In a middle of a crowd
Not caring what people will say

I know your thinking
“Welcome to my life”
After listening to a song
I know others feel the same

I know that all you want is out
Sometimes it’s not that simple
To end your life’s not the way to go
Every wonder what people will think?
What they might feel?

Ever feel lost and nowhere to go?
Ever feel hurt and nowhere to cry?
I have, all the time
“You’ve got to keep a positive mind”
They’ve all said
What a load of poo!
You can’t do that with no-one with you

Always remember your friends are there
And they care for you so much
For your life
For your feeling
For you.

I learnt that the hard way
Keeping everything to myself
And look where it left me?
Just stop for a minute
And think of life without the ones you really
Love.

It would push me over the edge
Knowing that I wouldn’t have them
There to argue with
Not there to cry with
I love them too much to take my own
Little life.

Nice-
I have "been there and done that" as they say-
To feel this much pain is to not know the true meaning of ones own self-
I hope that things get better for your friend and that you will be there always to help guide this lost soul into the light of your glow...
Joe

A heart felt poem with alot of good advice and empathy. Genuine caring and support comes through, with some wisdom you have gained in your own experience. You come across as a good friend.

Well done, Jen

Will

Your poems are so deep? I tried commiting suicide twice.....obviously it didnt work. But that is a serious issue. I have lost alot of homeboys to suicide.....Its crazy when you think about it: Actually getting to the point where you think ending it is the only way to go...If you have a friend in danger, save him........Just give em all the support and friendship they need! Peace-tati
