they say you're going away,
it made me think,
maybe it would be easier,
maybe it was fate.

maybe it was really meant to be,
that we should part ways
before we become too involved
before we drown with each other's company.

i just hope i'll have the courage,
to ask you before you go ...
was there a time,
even for a minute,
you were in love with me?
