No More Tears

Contributed by reecy on Monday, 10th October 2005 @ 11:11:30 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Pull up your blinds that you closed down so tightly
And admire the sun that shines brightly in.
Open your eyes that you shut so firmly,
When the darkness started to spread
Like a plague.

Pack away the memories, then place them far away
The time has come for you to live a brighter day.
Open up the door that you slammed and bolted shut,
And welcome in the passers by.

Stand up tall, as you approach the hurdles on your way
Leave dreams for when you sleep.
So when you wake you can live for today.

Smile through your clouds,
Though your heart is still aching.
Begin wallpapering over the past
For you’ll find that your brighter day will come
But for this to happen you have to let go and move on

Wipe that tear, it fell long time ago.

~No~More~Tears~

Well done, these two lines in particular
"Leave dreams for when you sleep.
So when you wake you can live for today"

The poem is advice I wish a friend of mine still mourning over a girlfriend he lost six months ago would take.

I like this poem alot. You've poured your emotions out in it. They say time heals all wounds. Move on and may u see brighter days ahead. An absolutely heartfelt write expressed so well.
*heartfelt hugs 4 u *
