I sit here in the darkness of black,
Soft as velvet it feels on my skin,
It fills my lungs with deep dark shame,
And fills my heart with hate.
I sit here in the brightness of white,
Sharp as knives it feels on my skin,
It fills my lungs with searing pain,
And fills my heart with fate.
I sit here in the dream of mind,
Nothing I feel on my skin,
It fills my lungs with strong, pungent blame,
And fills my heart with wait.

'thought provoking' doesn't quite cover how this one made me feel....I sat here staring, re-reading over and over .......
