Coming of fall

Summery shades of amber
Grace the evening sky
Hilltops in the distance
Clouds meander by
They
Prance upon the horizon
As my reflection dances upon the water
Falling then rising
Autumn leaves whisper
In the wind
As the air begins to cool
Once again
The season is altering
Wave goodbye
To those warm summer nights
Kiss the colors of autumn
I love to sit here in the quiet
And listen, listen to the rustling
Of the leaves
With Swiftness and elegance
Floating through the breeze
Falling for their last moment
Down and down lower to the foot descend

Perfectly described. I had a day just like that the other day. Blessings, J. |
