The Mirror
By: Danner C. Swa
The mirror never lies,
Looking out your eyes.
What you see is what you get,
There’s no surprise.
With my eyes opened wide,
Looking for the other side,
How hard I’ve tried,
To find my inner pride.
Is my life any different,
In the other dimension.
Am I more intolerant,
Do I seek contention.
Am I who I want to be,
Am I who I want to see,
Trying to look carefully,
But it’s only me.
Staring at it for hours,
Trying to reflect my reflection.
However my taste starts to sour,
Upon further inspection.
One day I vow,
My insecurities I will mend.
But for now,
Until next time my old friend.

This is one of the few "structured" that I have actually enjoyed. You got me hooked with the first stanza and held me right to the end. i really liked the ending.
Like the way your soul flo's
