Best Friends In The End

Contributed by Sae on Friday, 7th October 2005 @ 01:51:39 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I never knew the end would come so soon
everything seemed alright
until that afternoon
I was there for you until that night
I had to go home
and you said you'd be fine
I left you all alone
now I wish I'd had more time
It should've never ended like this
Now I'm sittin here by your grave
Wondering where my heart is
I wish that you wouldn't have touched that blade
I push my hands into the dirt
leave them there and start to cry
I never imagined how bad this would hurt
Why did you have to die?
I wipe my tears with dirty hands
take the necklace out of my pocket
push myself up and make myself stand
Took one last look at the locket
It was a picture of you and me
Under the picture it said "best friends"
I put it on your grave, thats where it should be
We will always be together even though it is the end

I like this, your poem tells a great story even though sad I have to smile that you did not dwell in sadness but got up ( in your poem ) and moved on still holding that friendship dear.
