WHY?

Why does it have to be this way?
Why did you have to go?
My life is so empty and so shallow.

Why couldn’t you stay longer?
Why didn’t we have more time?
My life is so empty and has no rhyme.

Why did I find you too late?
Why did God take you so fast?
My life is so empty with no reason to last.

Why did you take my heart with you?
Why couldn’t you leave me just one piece?
My life is so empty with no laughter only grief.

Why can’t you come back to me?
Why won’t God give you back for awhile?
My life is so empty with no reason to smile.
