There is power in a word
though its sweet or its mean;
Long-lasting effects are too often seen.
There is power in a word;
For our memories ring,...
Re-hurting our hearts or making them sing.
There is power in a word; ...
You must watch what you say;
The bread you cast out
Will come back someday.
There is power in a word,
Though its often broken,
Forgetting a vow we've lightly spoken.
There is power in a word,
Once its flown from the tongue;
We can't bring it back
From where its been flung.
There is power in a word, ...
Oh! ..but, you can be, too,...
Don't listen to gossip, true or untrue.
There is power in a word;
More good ones are needed
To heal the hurts, by the evil one, seeded.
There is power in a word;
Choose the ones that will build;
Build visions in souls to one day be filled.

| i agree with the two before..the saying "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" its so false..words hurt more than anything.. |
