You can belong here

Contributed by reprobate on Wednesday, 5th October 2005 @ 12:06:02 AM in AEST
Topic: didactic

You feel all their lonely and their fear
they all hate everything or so it seems
and you don't ever want to let them near
because all of their pain and ignorant screams

where is their supposed joy of life
how could they ever possibly live this way
gestures and harsh words only add to the strife
you have to wonder if this is their every day

in amongst all this ugly furor and din
a small respite is met within a calm word
the quiet that comes from so very deep within
where gentle peace is the only thing heard

you truly want to hear this and believe
still the noise offers all it's wrong
you know that it's all meant to deceive
as such, this calm seems not to belong

your mind claims that this can't be real
though your heart knows this is right
through this ugly air, you just can feel
what you have have found is love and light

because now here you can relax and breathe
no longer do you ever have to worry nor sigh
let them out there all rant and rave and seethe
within this warmth they'll never make you cry

So, relax, feel at ease and enjoy the rest
speak your mind and know that you'll be heard
for even if it is not for everyone's best
it will always be accepted as your own word

Ones OWN word, would always be perceived, and heard..........may not be worth.......5%.......LOL.......The word doesnt leave the tongue, that is NOT heard.....yet, we can hear, but listening is sometimes......better.! Fear, of all can be known.......but, its what has been in the past, and we can not dwell. Intrigueing, mind stating.......true write.!
All so well........Not fair.......!!!!!! lol

Again, props, I've read a few poems in a similar vein on here so far, this was far and away the best.

You're good, really good. Another fine write, with much substance. The last stanza was a treasure.
Peace, love and hugs,
Laura
