The lights are down and the curtains drawn
You are the mood I’m in tonight
Alone with all this pain I cannot express
The smell of despair surrounds me
Caught somewhere in between damnation and salvation
An invisible force pulling me down
Hope seems to be a foolish emotion
and escape a silly thought
The more I search for the light
The more I get lost in darkness
I can never find true love
As it does not live in my heart
And wanting it so badly
just tears my soul apart
All I want is something to believe in
Even if it’s just for a little while
A shoulder to cry on, a place to rest my head
A loving embrace, a gentle smile
Looking for the place where I belong
A safe harbour, someone to turn to
Waiting for a break that will make it OK
Forever patiently waiting for salvation…
