Joseph grabs under the Bed
“Another night” again he Said.
Perhaps release he will Find,
As memories run through his Mind.
Contact; the Head and Glock,
Fingers tight from fright and Shock.
Beads of Sweat run down his Chin,
As he runs away from the terrible Sin.
Front of the Mirror, in the Kitchen
His own Sight brings an eye Twitchin’.
Night and Day, Day and Night
Gun in Hand no Longer Light.
The Memories move the his Head:
The Mangled Bodies of the Dead,
O, what has he Done?
Once again, he puts away the Gun.
‘Tis the Devil in his Lair
Beckoning with Tempting Glare;
Patience growing Thinner,
Waiting for the Soul of the Sinner.
