Mystifying, electrifying,
thoughts of you it seems
bring me to a special place,
the land of hopes and dreams.
Thinking of the two of us –
possibilities –
make me look at newer paths
and new realities.
We’re standing on the edge of
something much too deep
to walk into it all alone,
so holding hands, we’ll creep.
Going slow to enjoy life,
into the abyss we’ll flow;
making memories on the way,
our love can only grow..
Mystified and electrified,
fun and love and schemes,
we’ll walk together arm in arm
we are the land of hopes and dreams.

| Nice piece of work here and I enjoyed the use of the similar beginnings and endings. The subject matter too was handled pretty good, although your ending seems a bit weak, specifically the last two stanzas. The structure you built at the beginning didn't seem to make its way to the end either. Perhaps simply re-arranging that part alone could help the piece, because the idea you have for the ending is apparent, but could be given a more structured treatment. Overall though I like it, because you had things to say with this write and it shows. Nicely done. |

John, this was lovely. A very sweet sentiment about fingind new love,
and moving together towards a future unknown, but seemingly
bright. Just delightful. I loved it!

Hmmm...I don't know what it is, but your poetry seems to be mirroring my life lately...or, at the very least, the way I wish it was going: )
