Youre fading again

Contributed by Jimmato on Monday, 3rd October 2005 @ 05:11:09 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Youre fading again
Translucent man
Disease and corruption
Beneath your skin

I somehow thought you'd be fine
Such a strong man, untouched by pain
How can you get a terminal illness twice?

Wracked with guilt I should visit
I know youre still you
But you were never quite this feeble

Nurses buzz around and smile
Lips aghast cant hide their eyes
Pitty beneath their hooded lids.

Dad Id like to see you grow old
keep mum nagging
Stick around Ill make you proud.

Youre fading again
Translucent man
I hope you beat the cancer

I feel you pain..
my Mother had cancer twice..and beat it..
but died from the chemotherapy-

Thoughts and prayers to your Dad..
and you and your family as well.

Yours Truly,

Billy
