The Materialism Curse

I am not an idiot,
I know my own self worth,
And I know that all you sell to me,
Is the materialism curse.
The media will not rule me,
Not target market will include me,
I know sex won't sell me happiness,
No ad campaign will fool me.
I am not your follower,
And you will not lead me
Into the pits of self destruction
That you sell so easily.
This generation are not animals,
Yet we must bite the hand that feeds us,
Because all free thought is murdered,
When you're brought up by the media.
