Poem for Katrina

The Rolling wind stirs images
of the worlds anguish, and into
anxiety I fall. Convulsive shivers
errupt from my brittle hands,
and I know what Ive lost. Its
control that I cannot keep, as the
fear from heavens fury sweeps
across the surrounding world.
Stepping into the chaos, I attempt
to retreat the blackened horror
which has hijacked my every
attention. Whipping and screaming,
Gods tears are better described as
fatal rounds shot at no specific target.
Hollow is the source of this raging
power, battering and washing away
the essence of life along its path.
The Devil himself, stirring the
discontent of earth bound souls.
The wrath ever felt within the
mournful smiles, recovery is the
absolution yet to arrive.

Thank you, for your heart.
It is hard when you lose evrything and have to start over again. |
