escaping my fate from a thief in the night

Contributed by lostrelic on Sunday, 2nd October 2005 @ 02:38:56 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

a brief view in my life a road i been running from
a future ive seen in my soul since my mind begun
i will try to be short since time i have is brief
since our world could be gone like a thief

it started from young a glimpse of my fate
taken the junkies way out i used drugs to escape
i lived on the street more then once life almost lost
searching to die man at any cost
then one night on a four year drinking span
i jumped of a bridge doing the famous peter pan

to my great surprise i woke up in bed
my body was destroyed but atleast i wasnt dead
the angel that night and all the times before
has been sheltering my life as i slept on the floor
see this has been my life from one near miss to the next
you could never understand from reading this text

ive got a job to do that i can finally face
to try to wake up this human race
one day you will hear me that i know to
hoping you are one of the true
we know life isnt just a evolution game
there is more to life then most could name
so i finally woke up remember i am just a man
who was affraid to see the true plan

Thank you very much for commenting on my poem The Lesson Of Life For Tday.

I read your poem and I'm commenting but the site signed me out, hate when it does that. Anyway.

I read your poem and it chilled my heart, it sounds like your fate has been planned out for you, such as your seen your fate and how everything is going to phase out, do you believe in fate?

I believe that fate can be real but everybody has a different fate, can you actually believe that your life is planned out for you? *Rose*

Regan this is a very thought provoking write. I , myself, do believe that our fate is already planned for us. A great poem that makes one think? Keeping penning down your emotions dearest Regan. Well done.
Hugs,
Sue, ED
