rosie gets filthy

Contributed by roisin on Sunday, 19th January 2003 @ 12:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Rosie was disgruntled and ill-tuned,
bothered heavily by the hard life,
and greatly wanting of the filthy.
The filthy life she read about weekly in The Friday Vagabond.
She gruntled at work daily.
"Gruntle, gruntle, sourly gruntle," she grunted.
(the others just gawked and groaned,
"Goodly Rosie be gruntling daily now")
and The Friday Vagabond lay opened on the desk
"MUCH OF THE FILTH BE OPEN TO THEE"
it proclaimed.
Rosie wished it to be.

and it were.
One Friday she reaped the filth that was on offer ......
ONE YEAR OF SALTED PORK, ONE MONTH"S DANCING THE HORN PIPE JIG, AND ONE NIGHT"S BREEDIN"
she looked away
breedin' was breedin'........and Rosie wanted that!!!

but she groveled with the filth
but it remained beneath the cranium
a dark hole filled with voices......
one said....
why the meat in your collagemograph, Rosie?
another said....
do you like your meat?
"Need it,"she replied," salted pork that's my meat."
They mused together on salted pork.
She must have the meat and the rest that goes with it, they decided.

Little walkies by the sea,
reading daily "The Jig and Twig"
and weekly "The Friday Vagabond".
Twas a positive start.

Rosie longed filth
filth it would be
so it was to be
and now she lays slobbering and gurgling happily .

Loved this one, Rosie. Lots of smiles and chuckles for me. Enjoy your salted pork. Meanwhile, I'm dreaming of fish.
