Sorrowful Storm

Contributed by toddy29 on Sunday, 2nd October 2005 @ 12:27:55 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

The steady rain keeps falling from the sky
These drops continue to flow from each eye
Thunder bursts through with a deafening roar
Sounds of an aching heart echo even more
Flashes light up the darkest of all nights
But forget to light up the souls fading might
The people awake from their deepest of sleep
The fearing children run to their parents for keep
But a wall was built between safety and fate
A wall to rip apart happiness with hate
The time has come, all hope draws near
All strength must be used to demolish all fear
It is now or never in conquering pain
Destroying all agony until just hope remains
So much is needed to be done so fast
With out the bolted down chains of the past

I really like this poem. You use great words and really get the meaning across. It's very good. You're a great writer. Keep it up!
