~Lights~
~cameras~
~Action~
See that young beautiful girl,
way in the back
with the smile on her face?
That's me,
I lookk happy
but truly
my life doesn't consist
of glitz and glory,
no sweet sounds of harmony.
I'm just another sob story
of child support never been paid
of daddys walkin away.
Once my 8 siblings
were out the door,
I was pushed out of the picture.
Now I'm just an extra
in my own movie.
I used too dream this wasn't reall
but the pain
is still there,
to many tears to count
to much hurt to show
and not enough love
to go around.
Just another sob story
to real to tell
to familar not to know.
As the lights dim
her smile fades
and she's the only one on the stage
besides the tears she cries.
No love!
Not enough to go around.
At least for the forgotten child.

I really like the way you layed this out, the metaphor of a movie as your life is a really good idea and you presented it in a way that hasn't been over done. |
