Second Chances

Contributed by PrincessJen on Saturday, 1st October 2005 @ 09:58:51 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

They''ll never understand
I don''t know how to explain
Sometimes I wish
I never showed my pain.
Everydays a new battle
Night time I dread
When know one can feel me
How can I get ahead?
They ask If I''m okay
But they don''t really listen
Everything I feel and say is wrong
I can''t help that I''m missing.
Maybe they''re right
And I need to forget and move on
But how can I
When these feelings are so strong?
If no one gave second chances
Then where would I be?
Somebody cared enough to look inside
And forgive and love me.
So why not others?
We all make mistakes.
We all live and learn-
We all give and take.
I was once misguided
But someone took my hand and showed me the way-
They taught me to love myself and others
And that everydays a new day.
Can you imagine
If everyone took somebodys hand
Forgave them and loved them
And tried to understand?
Maybe .....just maybe
Things would turn out okay
Because you gave someone a second chance
And helped them find happiness for the rest of their days.
