that song still makes me cry
i still choke on the words
through the sobs and the sighs
i remember you
i remember what you did to me
the irony in the lyrics
"come up to meet you, tell you im sorry, dont know how lovely you are"
You didnt mean it when you said i love you.
but now - all choked up singing that song.
I know i never needed you.
Only wanted you.
And now im over you.
but still the words choke me.
About how you used me.
And how i used to feel.
"nobody said it was easy..."
Nobody said it would be this hard

Your poem is touching the rhymthem is good and it flows very well. i love the idea of using one line of song lyric in your poem. it strengthens it and andds depth. also making it easy for people to realte to, and i understand where your coming from! when my ex split i used to lsiten to that song(scientists coldplay)every nite before i went to sleep. the words are extremly sad.. and i understand when you meen in "the irony in the lyrics" words hurt.. and when we are left, they seem to be what we cling on to. unfortantly the loss doesnt go but the pain does get better! chin up!
