The lawn cushions me as I kneel
The wild one, brought to heel
Flowers wilting in my hand,
These sojourns more than I can stand
Here among the silent spaces,
I can speak to your good graces
Words that I could never say,
'Why do loved ones go away?'
Wrapped in a heavy cloak of grief,
Guilty absence, no relief
You burrowed deep into my skin,
So here I am and yes, you win
Drawn despite my clear distress
At using this place to confess
Problems I just can’t get past,
'How come friendships never last?'
Anger wells from deep inside,
A feeling that will not subside
It took so long to connect with you,
Your absence I just can’t get through
Bitter tears track down my cheeks,
These are lessons no one seeks
I scream till voiceless at the sky,
'Why do people have to die?'

Firstly, I am truly sorry for your loss.
This piece is utterly heart wrenching...
An emotional piece, indeed.
You have arranged your words in a more then fluent fashion...expressed yourself honestly and clearly.
A beautiful piece.
I wish you well. |

One can see the images in your head. You've transferred them to paper quite nicely. Well done indeed.
Take care, may brighter days come.

Painful and fraught with meaning. You are spot-on with your observation that many tend rather than process grief, and I think that is like standing on the threshhold of something vast, but being unable to open the door. Such is, indeed, humanity.
Powerful and touching words. May you find the understanding we all seek.
