Why Not Today??

When reading in the Bible this morning,
I read how David's emotions were soaring!
He and his men were bringing the Ark back.
They all danced and cheered and that's a fact!
Their excitement grew by leaps and bounds
People were joyous from town to town!
David wasn't embarrassed at all
It was him - with God; they had a ball!
Only one questioned David's outward show--
His wife was then cursed by a childless woe!
What does this all have to do with today?
Where is the love and excitement displayed?
Why aren't we that excited about God above
And where have we lost all our feelings of love?
We just drag on without a vision of Him;
We stumble, fall down and get going again.
What is the point of this meaningless life--
We fight, we argue and cause too much strife!
It's our focus, our glance and even our gaze.
It's on the world and what it offers these days.
Surely we all need to bend our knees on the ground.
We need to seek God's face while He may be found!
We all need to humble ourselves, cry out, repent and pray
That God will forgive us and not abandon us today!
If we would only keep our focus on Him
Then His love will again forgive us of sin!
Can you imagine the joy that He'll give
As we turn from the world and with God live!
We can join with David and our excitement will flare
We won't even care if the world stops to stare!
Isn't that the way you want it to be?
Well let's join together on bended knee!
Let's not give up on God and turn the other way
Let's cling to Him and dance and cheer for Him today!

Amen Linda:
I love to learn all about God. He keeps us from burdens, not to escape from reality. He helps us with our family troubles, brings us joy and profit.
Your write is very intense, very enjoyable, it is divine. He is the creator, I love to be with Him, He raises up my ambitions, I have a commitment in eternity.
I do not get out of control or lose my direction with Him in my life.
For me, I have a hard time kneeling, but I sit outside each night and look up to the moon, is where I focus on my days happenings, rejoicing, am happy, praying away.. I do not get disturbed doing this, I stay well focused.
Prayers can help to bring self confidence in your life, take away great amounts of confusion, sadness, I pray to Him and things get straightened out, He answers my prayers. He helps me to build, not break down barriers, I get filled up with so much energy to help others as well as myself.
I am humble, and He keeps me away from sickness, I got well, with prayer from many people here on this site who prayed for me, and I prayed for them.
Want a wonderful self-image, Go to Him, He will give you one wonderful make-over.
Praying and walking with Him gives me pleasure and I am less discouraged when problems do arise.
Hell is agony, torment, not good, no control of self. Yes, there does not have to be so much pain.
I dance in my life, happy, happy, joy, joy, peace, peace..
What is love? It is success in knowing your creator who can help you change for the better, and live and enjoy a happy life.
