''A Happy Death''

Contributed by Desolated_Denial on Friday, 30th September 2005 @ 12:58:52 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Purgatory friendliness.
Home is where the fire is.
Children run in circles with pockets full of posies.
The ash falls down, like the nightmare says.
Little smiles turned with fangs.
Night turns to day and the day burns with stars.
Hallucinations are one's only friend, and they extend their boney hands with fleshy delight.
Star fell down.
Look at the ash.
Pick it up and blow it on your god.
God's regurgitation, our home sweet home.
Look at all the rusted nails in your eyes of love.
Coffins are our sanctuaries and homes are once upon a time.
Look.
Time stopped.
Clock never existed as heaven crumbles before our hope.
Women impregnated with aborted messiahs.
Men slave over kitchen like clones.
Pendulum falls with a deafening sound.
So deafening, I bet you didn't even hear it.
No sound.
Children still singing, with mouths sewn shut.
Laugh, until you cry, those once burgundy tears.
Now silver.
Only in the moon.
Hell looks delightful, with cakes and smiling despair.
Step down.
Down.
Step into the void.
Illusion, all gone.
Look up into your god...
Kiss his feet and fall six feet down.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
