Beautiful creature of the darkness
Why hide you so
In shadow and mirth
Treachery and pain

Why do you linger
In that which you loathe
The lifelessness that lends
Such disquieting comfort

Look above instead at the light
Pure and true in beauty
Of complexion much like your own
Blocked only by one small shadow

A halo of light intruded upon
By the shadow of one hand
Animate, it extends
To lend itself in time of need

"I love you!" a voice cries out
Not leaving, the hand reaches further
Will you choose to linger in loathesome lust
Or feel love in the light of the sun?

Just remember that few things are just black and white; that more often than not, you can look at the same thing very differently....if you merely change your perspective a little. Well done all the same!
