There is nothing left.
No words contain the inanity of my love.
I have forgotten the propensity of my thought,
ever falling to the briers of my love.
I have forgotten what it is like to sit idly,
content in the shadows of myself.
I am so fearful of being alone.
So often do I stand among the brambles of my love,
considering, above all, the insistency of my heart.
So often have I opened the gate.
So often have I entered the garden.
To press among the throes of lily.
To sleep beneath the shadow of my heart,
Only to turn away, to close the rusted door,
to wander through empty streets calling
quietly to names and faces that can never be apart.
I am a waking dream slipping softly away.

Beautiful. The line that stuck, for me was:
To sleep beneath the shadow of my heart
I love it.
Well done.
Take care.
