The Setting Sun

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Thursday, 29th September 2005 @ 09:54:25 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

If life passed you by
could you tell me why?
With a gentle push, you pull
deplete the will to fulfill
Can't expand a season
Can't demand a reason
Run from devotion
crawl to corrosion

The time is
now
Hold on
This moment is
fleeting
*blink*
it's gone

The future's been rehearsed
the past, only reversed
Don't do something you'll regret
cherish this love, revel in respect
With some things you shouldn't hesitate
some questions not meant to debate
Chasing shadows, life passed you by

Do you even understand why?

Mm a very good poem I loved it, sometimes people let life pass them buy, sometimes they don't even know it, I really believe in trying to experience everything at least one time in life, heh, I never want life to pass me by though sometimes I feel like it does, and sometimes I feel as if life controls me, very good write Scorp. Absolutely brilliant and thought provoking, Scorperiffic.

"With some things you shouldn't hesitate
some questions not meant to debate
Chasing shadows, life passed you by

Do you even understand why?"

And as usual, how much I can relate. Truly brilliant and wonderfully worded. Questions some people may never be able to answer because they have already done something that they can't take back and will truly regret.

" Run from devotion
crawl to corrosion"
Brilliant

Time is slipping to a place where the departure of feelings must rest, to stop to organize that inner self. I notice the expressions of doubts about something in the write, a part of your world that needs to be swept clean, the slate is full, erase, start again, stop, start again, stop.. big if's huh

oh that haunting feeling of life passing by to quickly each question and thought, this settles deep within the readers soul and leaves the mind to ponder. A terrific job once again!

My friend life is so short. Wipe the slate clean and begin afresh. So much truth behind the lines. An outstanding masterpiece written by the talented Miss Scorp. Keep penning those emotions Scorp for you are a truly gifted poetess. Well done.
Hugs,
Sue, ED.
