The poverty filled Christmas

It's a beautiful day filled with a sloth's fantasy and a glutton's buffett!
The cold air sticks to us like tightly made press on nails
and the christmas carols bellow out as if representing a cry of false agony.
The mother's smile and the daughter's excitement is enough to make yet another reality television show installment, filling us with distractions.
Deck the halls with boughs of plastic! That is the anthem of today's christmas.
The elegant and looming christmas pine trees are replaced by cheaply made silver ones.
The milk and cookies are replaced with beer and take-out.
And who ever was dreaming of a white christmas was clearly on cocaine.
