Robert

Topic: Tributes

I strive each day to find a way
For mom and dad to smile,
A little burp, a funny face
To make their day worthwhile.

My mom and dad are sad a lot
Not that you'd ever see,
But I hear them crying in the night
And praying just for me.

For I'm the essence of their love
A baby pure and clean,
For this my family, I exist
Their sunshine and their dreams.

And so Lord I come to You
To speak of dads and moms,
Those big people You love so much
And of their little ones.

Suffer the children to come to me
I'm told that's what You said,
I ask You, fill their hearts with joy
And take away their dread.

Thy will be done, my momma says
Each time she kneels to pray,
But her heart, and dads, would break in two
Should You call me away.

This cancer lying deep within
My body smal and frail,
Pierces their hearts as surely as
On the Cross, Your hands were nailed.

These things I ask of You my Lord
But not selfishly for me,
I ask that You give me the time
To be with my family.
