my lover, my teacher, my friend

Contributed by sararose1950 on Tuesday, 27th September 2005 @ 09:55:53 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I found him on the internet, it seems to be the trend,
this gentle man who fills my soul....
my lover, my teacher, my friend.

He has shown me how to like myself and never to pretend,
no matter what the mirror says.....
my lover, my teacher, my friend.

He will not stay, to his heart he must attend,
for he searches still, for love fulfilled.....
my lover,my teacher, my friend

So I call upon the powers that be, these are the words they send,
"Peace, Light and Love, we grant to him, until his journey ends......
for he helped our child....to remember to smile"
my lover, my teacher, my friend

Absolutely stunning. I loved the line "my lover, my teacher, my friend" and how you worked your way around it. Beautiful write.

A fine tribute to someone that no doubt deserves your praise.
We gotta be true to ourselves as life is better when we're free to be who we are.
huggs, big smiles,
emy

BRAVO! Looking past the mirror can be a sign of desire to help another. Helping others, we often find what we ourselves have hidden away. We are all students, care and understanding the teacher. You are truly an "A" student! GOOD WRITE!
