My Fantasy Girl

Contributed by Darkhorse71 on Tuesday, 27th September 2005 @ 08:21:29 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Sitting on a blanket at the edge of the shore
drinking wine and sharing shrimp, who could ask for more?
Your hair in my face by the gentle breeze
tickles my face and we laugh as I sneeze.
The seagulls around us are searching for food
and all of the beauty just adds to the mood.
The moon is silver and hanging so low
you would think we could touch it if we didn’t know.
The night has been perfect, the conversation so free;
I know only of peace and deep serenity.
We face each other sitting knee to knee
as I use my fingers with which to see.
I hold you tight and let you know
how very much I Love You so.
I trace my fingers from cheek to cheek
and across your lips, we did not speak
of how much that I need you.
My fingers circle around your ears,
down your neck, we have no fears
of how much that I want you.
Your shoulders and arms, the sweet caress
on the silky smoothness of your breast
leaves me breathless by your beauty.
As I gaze into your eyes
I know I really have to try
to keep from falling in them.
Laying under the sweet starlight
holding you close and holding you tight
leaves me drowning in your love.
We had been lovers for several years
but now I am broken down to tears
as I feel the pain of your memory.

Very sweet, I guess in this case its better to have love and lost then never to have loved at all. Sometimes just being with someone and it doesn't work out is still better then never being with them at all. Loved the poem, great write john.

Fantasy? She seems pretty real to me, John. Beautifully expressed and
so lovingly remembered. I know love like this is hard, SO hard to let go
of, but I believe it's so much better in life to experience this and KNOW
that you too, are loved. However briefly.
Excellent write, John.

*hugs*

Wow!! At first i was saying is it hot in here or is it just me....
Then the tears let a lump upon my chest. John this write is just so beautiful with a sad ending..
but, Hope you know there doesn't have to be a sad ending.
You will find that fanasy girl again..
Ways you describe love here is just breathe-takin what lady wouldn't just love that.
Memories are both good and bad we all have them..
just never give up on that fanasy to be happily ever-after..;-)
Hugggggggs
