Crying over a bowl of hot soup

Contributed by glassicallyunsuperficial on Tuesday, 27th September 2005 @ 11:10:18 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Broken hearts, saddened guts
I cry for my mom’s birth of me
A painful lie, disappointed sighs
I cry for the world’s thing taken up by me
I’m sorry I was a lot of trouble
I’m sorry I weren’t able to stop bad quarrels
I’m sorry for you
Having to know me
And spending your lifetime and money all wasted on me
I apologize for I know I don’t deserve
Any good things
I’m sorry; I apologize only being good enough to be a reserve
In anything I participate in
I’m sorry I’m not smart enough
I’m sorry I’ll never be good enough
I’m sorry that I never ever sound sincere enough for you
I’m really. Really. Sorry.
Dear mama, I love you so
But I’m sorry your expectations
Can’t be fulfilled by me
I no longer am what you wish I were
For, the older I grow, the more you expect
And I’m sorry not being able to catch up
Or reach up to the standards you so wish for me to clinch
Crooked smiles, briefed nods
I cry for my mom’s birth of me
Gripping tears, crowded fears
I cry for this world
And me.
