Sky of velvet, dark and deep, colour of the night
Comet flying, blazing onward, planet's fiery flight
Splashed across this canvas, silver moonlight glow
Spiders webs of misty clouds, curl round, ebb and flow
Night owl sings his chorus, hooting in his flight
Flaps his wings and glides away, delicate delight
Electric air of magic, watching, waiting there
For that special moment, rich beyond compare
Blinding flash of radiance, heavens blaze with light
Nothing on this mother earth compares with this pure sight
Birth of a star child, shines to greet the morn
Hope of the planets, once again reborn

I love, love, love this poem! I like how it takes the reader beyond the boundaries of what most people write about. Through the poem, you really explore that unseen world. That's what I liked about it the most. The rhyming was done with precision, and each word fit perfectly. This poem would make the masters proud indeed. I would love to read more of your works. |
