A cancer patient lay in his bed.
Not waiting for death but fighting it instead
Death tries to discourage him with pain
But he fights on and doesn't complain
Death tries to frighten him with blood
He coughs out violently and his clothes are all red.
People who knew him look at him fearing the worst
He is tired and his lips are dry with thirst
Chemotherapy weakens him and also the cancer
He fights on as it is his only answer
He finds death releasing its grip in vain
He recovers, and now there is no pain
He looks at himself, now frail and sore
But his spirit is now stronger than before
Never give up that's the spirit.
Fight against all odds until your limit.

Very well written. I've had a family member go through cancer. It was no easy battle for them but if they could read this I am sure it would have helped them to keep fighting.

This brought tears to my eyes. My mum died of ovarian cancer and I know how much she wanted to live. The big C a word no one wants to hear. I pray for this person and hope they pull through this
