this game we play

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

you said you would ring me
you promised youd call
ive given you everything
ive given my all
what are we playing
i dont want to play
please tell me the rules
ive got something to say
it just isnt fair
i dont know what to do
what is it youre waiting for?
should i call you?
i send you messages
i wonder if youre home
are you thinking of me?
as i sit by the phone
last night you told me
that you didnt know me well
but that you loved me, cared for me
it was then that i fell
you dont want to lose me
yet you treat me like trash
i wish i could tell you
what i want to at last
that i quit this dumb game
that im no longer 'in'
whats the point in my playing?
when theres no way i can win?
i dont know the rules
i dont know the score
i dont know why you insist
on talking to me anymore
eventually youll call
just not when you said
what the **** is your problem?
whats going on in your head?
ive waited all day
i no longer care
when i need you
you are never there
i wish you would just tell me
that its not me and you
i wish you would do the thing
im not strong enough to do.

This is me to a T - love your poem Eloise ... great flow, great words. I don't understand either why they say the words but don't use the actions - I've come to believe that it's all about being in control and enjoying the power of it all. I hope you draw on some strength somewhere and put him in his place. ..... best of luck DreamWeaver
