The light gleamed in her eyes
Like scattered stars in a dark night’s sky
Thoughts ran through his brain
Of the quarrel which caused so much pain
Now they stood face to face
Praying that the other would not begin to pace
The fight caused much wrong
They started to think they had been for too long
The silence soon broke
For she started to choke
Choke on her love, which overwhelmed her
She went to grasp, he deterred her
He looked her in the eyes
He knew they had been filled with lies
Remorse was all she felt
And knew she shouldn’t have pelt
Tears fell that were so sweet
That he swept her off her feet in forgiveness
For love would create a new life for them to begin
He would never leave, leave like that again
