Tribute to Dashboard Confessional

Contributed by MyInspiration on Saturday, 18th January 2003 @ 01:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Tributes

You’re taking me home, on my long ride of life.
Victories and losses, confessions of strife.
The display blinks your progress, helping me through the night.
But everything seems wrong now; I can’t sort out this mess.
Yet, you’re someone I can relate to, someone to help me pass this test.

This test of life is almost too much to bear.
But with your lyrics, your passion, our pain is shared.
You may never know me, but your impact is felt
Even when I cry, your music helps.

I just want to thank you for all you have done.
For it was you who was there, even after the tears had begun.
It was you who listened; it was you who was there.
It was you who put my feelings to music, and you who was the one who cared.

So when you feel bad, have no fears,
Dashboard Confessional will help dry the tears.
When it all seems to be too much,
Give them a chance and open your ears.
Open up to them, as they have done for you.
Open up your heart and soul, and they will help you too.

I LOVE Dashboard Confessional... especially the songs "A Plain Morning", "Living In Your Letters" and "A Sharp Hint Of New Tears"... they're awesome... and this is an awesome tribute... maybe you should send it to them! (if you haven't already) :)

Thanks for the comment. I really connected to DC after only discovering them like, 2-3 months ago. One of my favrorites is living in your letters too. Iactually learned how to play letters and this ruined puzzle. Those 2 are my favorites. Thanks again for the comment.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
