the drugs are taking over
and you feel it.
I know it has to hurt you deep inside
I know that getting help would make you feel stupid
but none of us will shake you of your pride.
To help you has been something that i wanted.
To love you has been something that I've done.
We we're talking there just for a little while.
but it ended almost as soon as it begun.
the drugs are taking over whats left of your heart
And i hate knowing what will happen
Seeing you on the street almost dying...
I would never even have imagined.
you have to know that people care about you
and there will always be someone at your side
I think everything would fall apart, and shatter
If i ever found out that you died...

You know, I understand this, I can relate...
I was high for 8 years... maybe longer, I don't recall...
I have a friend in Arizona who's on meth. Was on meth, i'm not really sure if he's dead or not. I bolted. He was slamming it, and sharing his needles with a girl who had HepC. The worst part of it all was that he blamed me. So I left. I abandoned him. I felt guilty for a long time after that. Maybe I still do. But let me tell you something. People have to help themselves. I couldn't do anything for him. All I could do was watch and write all over his walls with him. He had to help himself. I don't know if he ever did. I hope he did, but if he's dead it's no ones fault but his own. We can't be held responsible for others. Sometimes we have to hurt the people we love in order for them to understand that we do in fact love them.
Good writing by the by.
always, abraham |

Your write from your heart
nothing fancy just the truth as you see it.Wich works extremly well as it brings a real sence of reality to the poem.
hope things get better
