Just Like the Rest

Topic: AngryPoetry

In such little time a friendship grew,
or at least that is what I thought of you.
But, bitter words, lashing out, selfish silences seem to always characterize a conversation or two.
You’re just like the rest. Just like every other guy I knew.
I’m sick of them all. I m sick of you.
I’ve been nothing but nice, always trying to be a friend
listening and helping whenever I can.
You continually push me away or run or hide if you don’t like something I say.
If the topic gets too deep or I mistakenly interrupt your precious sleep.
You can be rude and mean and think nothing of others at all.
You’re depressed I know, you have problems its true, but that is not an excuse to treat others the way that you do
especially, people who care about you.
My friend, suck it, be a man, grow a back bone
everyone has problems that they’ve been through.
But, they don’t take it out on those they are close to.
You’re just like the rest. Just like every other guy I know
selfish and out for themself.
What do you bring to this friendship? I really must know.
Nothing is reciprocated at all.
Your never there for me, want to hang out, our know what is wrong unless I am the one to call.
When you are with me you always seem to be in a bad mood and can’t wait to leave, telling me you’re only staying for a short time.
It’s hard to even have fun with you anymore.
I’m starting to question what are we in each other’s life for?
I try to stay quiet and not speak, deal with each emotion and varying degree.
It just isn’t fair when you’re not being a friend, pushing away, lashing out
always abruptly saying goodbye.
You’re just like the rest, like every other guy I tired to get close to.
A new addition to my list of those I wish I never knew, I’m done being nice to you.

A deeply emotional write. Its powerful, inspiring and thought-provoking. You get the point across well and the message is quite clear and full of hurt.. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

Take Care

and wonder if it even matters 2 the recipient,

I love it! There are definitely some guys I'd like to give this to. Anyway, I liked the honesty of it, as well as the fact that it was both straigh-forward and still flowed really well. Good job!

Wow! Totally awesome write. Brilliantly stated and full of emotion....which is definitely powerful and I could really feel that emotion. Can also definitely relate to a lot of this. Hey, I know someone like this: "You can be rude and mean and think nothing of others at all." Whew, like Ben said, glad I'm not on the receiving end of this one. Great job!

Thank you for sharing such a great write.
