A small gash behind some vaporous rags,
the night air is barely lit by the wane;
down here, below the etheral playground,
life trudges on in seemingly clumsy plods.
As children of this eve, we move forward,
waning and waxing within each cyclic web;
dreams are for fools and lost children,
yet, that is all we do with our chance.
Are the dreams truly such a useless quantity,
should that they ever be ignored or wasted;
would there be an answer to the mindless hope,
so much like the waif, could they be real?
Onward we plunge into the vast unknown,
armed with those uncertain dreams of youth;
upward we gaze, wishing those dreams life,
here, below, reality reigns supreme, still...

Damn this was so sad. Reality is a real bite in the butt, man, but I got to keep dreaming and so do you. This was a moving write.
