I've held on for so long,
to the past, to what,
I thought, we could be
once again, but I'm
finally beginning to see,
that what we had, will
never be again, it hurts
to say, but maybe that's why
I've avoided it for so long,
I guess I've finally realized
your feelings for me,
and that what we had,
is all in the past,
but I guess it's better this way,
maybe now that I’m caught up,
it won’t be as hard for us,
we won’t have quiet
moments or pauses like before,
and even though, I still
have feelings for you,
you've moved on,
and I guess eventually
I will too.
