Thunder and Beethoven

Contributed by ForlornSapphire on Sunday, 25th September 2005 @ 03:06:23 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I sit on the floor
In a dimly lit room.
All I hear
Is the sound of thunder and Beethoven,
And all I feel
Is my hear bitterly weeping,
Mourning the paths I am on as of current
And fearing the paths I have yet to journey.
As each measure
Builds upon it's former
Turning shallow tones to music;
Gently caressing the surrounding atomsphere
Growing... swelling to a climax,
Resulting with an orgasmic, calming tension,
Followed by serenity.
Immeditately after: sorrow.
As I lift my head
Toward a small window,
I look out into the beautifully black night.
The sorrow forced upon me
By the conclusion of Moonight.
And though I am too weak to cry,
One silent tear
Slips hopelessly to the ground.
Again I raise my head
And look out the tiny window.
This time to see
A solitary ray of light
Piercing the shrouding of darkness.
Then, I simply close my eyes.
I become still
And I know...
Oh, how I know!
And I find comfort there.

The title had me very intrigued and I was not disappointed.
This was an amazing write. Very powerful emotions, expertly
expressed!
And I know...
Oh, how I know!
And I find comfort there

Exceptional!

A sad emotional piece of poetry. U draw the reader in through the sensational imagery u cast into the readers head. A very well crafted write. Well done.
