There is a silent place
That people come to face
Where they go to make amends
It is where the footpath ends
A new life will begin
Maybe with less sin
They’ll take a new path
Hopefully with less wrath
Everyone deserves a second chance
To strike down the past with a lance
They should all get to begin
Where the footpath ends
