Hearts that Bleed

Contributed by jyssvw on Sunday, 25th September 2005 @ 01:01:44 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Men of silence
Who keep this world hanging in the balance
With secrets yet to be told
A generation of scholars dieing and getting old
Who will follow now
When everything is lost

I am not a chamber
Lodged in my head are these thoughts
The way you sparkle
Eyes red like a torch
It is not by my decision, I was forced
I came to you for shelter, I was lost
You are not my folly
I am yours

Just outside the city gates
Lies a lion of a beast, hidden,
He waits for the human feast, bitten
As he clasps down his deadly teeth
He is not an animal
He has kids to feed
If not for his actions it would be his heart that bleeds

A bit vague, but wonderfully written. Continue to develop your thoughts. Very nice!

Great flow going on here! I especially like the way you wrapped it up in the end. Sounds like a survival of the fittest type write...Very well done.

This makes some sense to me for very personal reasons.
